Three aces for DOMINI VENETI in James Suckling’s reviews.
The most representative wines of DOMINI VENETI’s territoriality have been rewarded with very high scores:
94 for Amarone della Valpolicella docg Classico 2015: “A very rich and complex Amarone that is remarkably fresh and has no hint of caramel. On the palate a lot of power, but this stands on a solid base of tannins and the fresh acidity lifts the full body. Long, bitter-chocolate finish. Drink or hold“.
93 for Valpolicella Ripasso doc Classico Superiore La Casetta 2015: “Very perfumed with berries, plums and violets on the nose, following through to a medium body, firm and silky tannins and a juicy finish. Just the right amount of hazelnut, too. Really delicious. Drink now.”
92 for Valpolicella Ripasso doc Classico Superiore Vigneti di Torbe 2016: “The ripe fruit and soft tannins are altogether delicious with a richness and balance that sings. Chocolate and plum character. Medium to full body. Drink now.”
Excellent debut also for the wines of the Collezione Pruviniano, the Domini Veneti selection for the Marano valley.
