Here are the comments and tasting notes by James Suckling:
DOMÌNI VENETI AMARONE DELLA VALPOLICELLA CLASSICO VIGNETI DI JAGO 2013
94 points
Beautiful undertones here of forest floor, bark and black tea punctuate riper notes of sesame bun, aniseed and licorice. Dark fruit is perched across a carefully woven hammock of ripe tannins, which hold up persistent acidity with pleasure and panache. Full-bodied and densely compressed on the finish. Drink from 2023.
DOMÌNI VENETI VALPOLICELLA CLASSICO SUPERIORE VERJAGO 2016
93 points
A beautiful but strongly perfumed red with dried violets, blackberries, forest floor and dried herbs. Juicy and structured on the full-bodied palate, and yet there’s wonderful transparency to the layered blue fruit and spice undertones. The tannins are polished and chewy. Drink from 2021
DOMÌNI VENETI VALPOLICELLA RIPASSO CLASSICO SUPERIORE LA CASETTA 2016
93 points
The nose here is brimming with vivacious fruit and spices; dried raspberries, fresh boysenberries, dried orange peel and lavender spring out of the glass. Medium to full body, firm, edgy tannins and a wallop of steely acidity and citrus. Drink now.
DOMÌNI VENETI VALPOLICELLA CLASSICO SUPERIORE RIPASSO VIGNETI DI TORBE 2017
92 points
The powerful, spearmint and menthol lift to this Ripasso doesn’t harm the pretty, violet and lavender character. Citrus undertones. Medium body, fine tannins, a finely woven structure and impressive mineral depth. Drink now
