Great debut for Amarone della Valpolicella DOCG Classico Collezione Pruviniano 2013

We are happy to announce that the Guida Oro I Vini di Veronelli 2019, published by the Seminario Permanente Luigi Veronelli, has awarded the Grande Esordio (great debut) Award to our Amarone della Valpolicella docg Classico Pruviniano Collection 2013 – Domini Veneti.

The Grande Esordio is attributed to wines that achieve an assessment equal or superior to 94/100 in the tastings of the curators Gigi Brozzoni, Marco Magnoli and Alessandra Piubello.

It will be an honor to celebrate the release of the I Vini di Veronelli 2019 Gold Guide by taking part in the preview presentation scheduled for Friday 19th October 2018 at 2.30 pm in Venice, at the splendid Giorgio Cini Foundation on the Island of San Giorgio Maggiore. During the event the Sole 2019 will be awarded, the editorial’s special prize, with ten wines selected from over 16,000 samples reviewed. The ten wines awarded will then be offered for tasting accompanied by the specialties of some artisans of the taste partner of the Association.

To the Grande Esordio wines the Luigi Veronelli Permanent Seminar will dedicate, instead, meetings and events in the coming months: we will keep you informed!

Amarone della Valpolicella Classico Collezione Pruviniano 2013

Domìni Veneti continues its journey of discovery and characterization of the terroir with a new interpretation of Amarone, Ripasso and Valpolicella Superiore. The resulting profile is of subtle elegance and great potential for aging over time. The Pruviniano Collection of Domìni Veneti stems from the desire to discover and enhance the territories and wines from grapes grown in the Marano valley in the Valpolicella Classica. Until 1177 these territories were in fact called Pruviniano.

Amarone della Valpolicella Pruviniano Collection, of extraordinary elegance, satisfies the eye thanks to its intriguing garnet red color. The aroma is intense, with fruity references of sour cherries in spirit and prunes, sweet spices, vanilla, chocolate, coffee, leather, nutmeg, pepper. The flavor is broad, of great structure and softness, persistent, with a velvety tannin and an aftertaste of dried fruit and toasted hints.
